Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo is the only College of Special Education in sub-Saharan Africa established in October, 1977 to train teachers and other para-professionals in Special Education for people with special needs. The College, being the only one of its kind in the country, has an admission policy that takes the entire nation as its catchment area and this allows a wider mix in student population. The College is one of the fifteen (15) Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence the running of Degree Programmes leading to award of degree certificates.
Notice is hereby given to all candidates who sat for the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) that the Degree Admission portal will be opened for online registration from Tuesday, 9th December, 2025. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Candidates must upload O/level results on JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). 3. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2025 to be eligible for admission. The UTME candidates must possess Five (5) credit passes in relevant O/level subjects at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB. 2. Proceed to log on to www.dualmode.fcesoyo.edu.ng to make payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only for the purpose of online registration for Post-UTME screening / Direct Entry (DE) at any Commercial Bank/Online through Remita Platform; 2. Carefully complete and submit the online application form; 3. Upload digital copies of scanned O’ Level result(s) and passport photograph with white background not more than 100kb which must be in JPEG or JPG with no eye glasses or veil and, 4. Print out the Online Application Form to ascertain successful registration.
